The founders of VEPL are alumni of premier educational institutions in India and abroad, who have been through the GRE experience themselves. The company also has Several experienced teachers and subject experts who have been involved in GRE training, GRE coaching and GRE, GMAT, SAT classes for over two decades.

Experienced authors and instruction designers who have authored several widely used textbooks at school and college level and communication campaigns for leading organizations.

A core team of dedicated technology experts specializing in the delivery and tracking of learning.

Adaptive Learning was invented by VEPL, which has a patent pending for its ALMI technology. Infact, GREedge.com's student facilitators are the best and the brightest as they diligently assess, track and advise students through the learning sessions.

Management Team

VEPL is headed by technology professionals with experience in R&D and Business Development from telecom majors in the US and India.

Anand Kannan, Managing Director

Anand Kannan has a B.Tech degree from IIT, Madras, India, an M.Sc(Engg) from IISc, Bangalore, India, and a doctorate from Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN, USA.

He has worked with Nokia as part of its Research Center in Irving, Texas, for several years as Research Engineer, and as Manager, New Business Development. He also worked at Arraycomm Inc in San Jose, California, during its days as a start-up. At Nokia, he was worked in Wireless LAN research, GSM and CDMA radio technology, entry-level mobile application development and business model development for low-income markets.

Anand's interests are economics, entrepreneurship, management, cognition, computing, communication technology, system development, digital signal processing and algorithm and architecture development.

Yogish Lavanis, Director & Co-founder

Yogish has a B.Tech degree from IT-BHU, Varanasi, India, and an M.Sc(Engg) from IISc, Bangalore, India.

He has worked in companies inlcuding Tata-Elxsi and C-DoT as Research Engineer. He worked for Motorola in protocol engineering, architecture and design for GSM, UMTS, WAP technologies in senior technical and project management roles. At Motorola, he received the Chairman of the Board's challenge award. He has guided and mentored several technical teams towards challenging goals.

His interests are mobile and cellular communication technologies, system engineering and mobile applications for productive and positive usage in India. Yogish is also deeply interested in the visual arts - photography, painting, architecture and sculpture.

Pavithra Vikram, Manager, Research & Development

Pavithra holds a Master's degree (MSEE) in Digital Signal and Image Processing from Stanford University, USA, and B.E from SVCE, Madras University, India.

Pavithra has worked with Intuit as a Software Engineer for their QuickBooks division, with 2Wire as a DSP Software Engineer for their ADSL and VDSL products and with C-DOT-Alcatel Research Center. Having lived and worked in the San Franciso Bay Area for over six years, Pavithra brings to the company the Silicon Valley culture of pushing technological boundaries to create great products that change people's lives. She is also passionate about teaching and learning and has worked as a part-time teacher for organizations such as Kaplan.

Pavithra's technical interests include Digital Signal Processing, Image Processing, Multimedia, Pattern Recognition, Analytics, Visualization, Software Development and Human Computer Interaction. She also has a deep interest in Etymology, Linguistics, Cognitive Psychology and Pedagogy. Her hobbies include drawing, painting, astronomy and Sanskrit.

Pavithra obtained a near full score in the GRE and a full score in TOEFL during her days as a student. Pavithra & her team work on constantly improving the technology platform (WIZDOM.in) that powers GREedge.com and keeping it world class.
